Our History:

Myrtle and James Harmon (Me-Maw and Pa-Pa) started My House Daycare in August of 1995. The name My House came to Myrtle in a dream that she had about opening a daycare. She liked the name because she wanted all who came here to feel safe and secure and to say you are going to " My House" sounded safe and secure to her. Myrtle and James have a deep Christian faith and feel that the Lord led them to open My House Daycare.

My House is a Christian based daycare. Myrtle and James envisioned a place where children could play, laugh and learn all while being taught about Jesus and his love for them.

For 20 years now their dream and vision has continued to grow and stand the test of time. From what use to be a pasture at the top of their farm, they started what has been a wonderful testament of their love for Jesus and all of His children. We still start off our mornings with The Lord's Prayer and a Bible story in all of our classes. We still teach children about Jesus and his love for them. We also still use the farm for Easter egg hunts, picnics, hayrides, nature walks and other fun activities throughout the year.

James (Pa-Pa) passed away in 2001. Myrtle (Me-Maw) is still the owner and operator of My House Daycare. Every child that the Lord has sent through these doors has been a blessing in their lives and are cherished memories.
